We men should be ashamed too: Eternal

A female doctor of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata was raped and murdered on the night of August 8. The people of Kolkata are outraged by this shameful incident.

People from all walks of life took to the streets in protest. Star actors of Kolkata also joined the protest protest. This list includes Srilekha Mitra, Swastika Mukherjee, Srijit Mukherjee, Shaswat Chatterjee, Raj Chakraborty, Ankush Hazra, Parambrata Chatterjee, Pauly Dam and many others.

Shaswat Chatterjee spoke to the Indian media while walking in the protest march yesterday. The actor said, 'The sooner justice is served, the better. Safety at work. It's mast. Apart from that, we (Tolipara) have given all the demands we had. Let's see, there is hope for a fair trial!'

Not just the police-administration, Shaswat thinks men should be ashamed. In this regard, 'Kalki' famous actor Shaswat said, 'Let these things not happen again in the future! It is not enough to blame only the police-administration for that. Us men should be a little ashamed too.'

On August 8, the victim, a young doctor, was on duty in the night shift. His body was recovered from the seminar hall of the hospital the next morning. The initial post-mortem report has revealed that she was murdered after rape.

After this incident Kolkata Police started investigation. A civic volunteer named Sanjay Roy was arrested. On August 12, the incident took place in Calcutta High Court. A total of four public interest cases have been filed. The litigants appealed to the CBI to not trust the police. The High Court ordered the CBI to investigate the case the next day.

Arrested Sanjay has been taken into custody by the Central Investigation Agency. Apart from that, the CBI is interrogating many people including Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Hospital. Four days after taking over the investigation, the CBI has not detained or arrested anyone.
