'We're terrible at taking reviews' sport

West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams shared the video of Kushal Mendis's review on Facebook and said what he wrote. Not only Williams, everyone was surprised to see the review of Mendis in Chittagong. Bangladesh's foresight to take reviews is not new. Those who have been test captains in the past have made laughs with random reviews. Nazmul Hossain Shanto joined that list at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.

The incident happened in the 44th over of the match. Mendis played in a defensive posture ahead of spinner Taijul Islam. The ball clearly hits the middle of the bat. Thinking that the ball had hit his leg, the captain who was in the slip raised his hand calmly and appealed. Bowler and wicketkeeper Leetton had no reaction. Calm bowler Taijul asks leg? The captain's voice can be heard over the stump mic, 'Foots first, Nib.' Then Shanta took the review.

On the other hand, the wicketkeeper Lyton is in the role of a spectator. Replays showed that the ball clearly hit Mendis mid-on. The TV umpire didn't even have to watch Ultra Edge. Bangladesh spoiled the review by challenging the umpire. Bangladesh's pace bowler Adams is disappointed as one of the three valuable reviews he got in the bowling innings was wasted.

Having done something like this in the past, the coach has been forced to say, Bangladesh is terrible at deciding on a review, 'It is a matter we are discussing. We're not very good at taking reviews, that much is clear. We've been terrible at getting reviews so far. We have to improve a lot in this regard.'

This coach feels that the players are giving more priority to emotions than reality in taking reviews, 'taking reviews is completely under the supervision of the captain and the wicketkeeper, maybe even the fielder standing at point can understand. The way we are taking reviews is not working. I think I'm probably putting emotion ahead of reality at the moment.'
