Kolkata is in turmoil over the rape case of Moumita Debnath, a female doctor of RG Kar Medical College. The common people of the country have been blown away by this disgraceful incident. The stars also took to the streets in protest. But veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was silent on the matter. Finally he broke the silence.
Mithun Chakraborty gave a video message to the Indian media. The actor said, 'I have been saying the same thing for many days, in many places, that the situation in West Bengal will become very dire in the coming days. I am losing the ability to stand tall as a Bengali.'
Condoling the family of the deceased girl, Mithun said, 'My condolences to the victim's family, those involved in this incident should be arrested and punished as soon as possible. This is my biggest wish.'
The young doctor was on duty on the night shift on August 8. His body was recovered from the seminar hall of the hospital the next morning. The initial post-mortem report has revealed that she was murdered after rape. After this incident Kolkata Police started investigation.
