What the Ambassador had to say about the workers not being able to go to Malaysia

Haznah Mohammad Hashim, the High Commissioner of Malaysia appointed in Dhaka, said that the country's government will not extend any more time in taking workers from Bangladesh.

Malaysian High Commissioner Haznah Mohammad Hashim gave this information on Wednesday (June 5).

Earlier on Wednesday (May 29) in an exchange meeting with the Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DICAB) at a hotel in the capital, he said that the workers should go to Malaysia by May 31. After that time will not be extended. And it is not only for Bangladesh, but in 15 other countries including Bangladesh, the term is not increasing.

In response to another question, the Malaysian High Commissioner said that the syndicate that is being talked about in the labor market is beyond the control of the Bangladesh Malaysian government. A Malaysian embassy official was fired last year over the labor market. Malaysia is trying to punish those involved in labor market corruption.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia said that there are good opportunities for Bangladeshi students to study in Malaysia. At the same time, Malaysia has developed medical tourism. Bangladeshi people can get international quality treatment at low cost in Malaysia. We welcome Bangladeshis for treatment.
