What was known about the new curriculum and syllabus of 9th-10th class


The government has taken the initiative of revising the new curriculum. As a part of this, textbooks of classes 9 and 10 of the academic year 2025 will be printed in the old syllabus. That is why the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has ordered to send the demand for new textbooks for these two classes.

Field instructions have been given to send this information by September 5 in the light of the revised curriculum.

Recently NCTB member (textbook) Prof. Saidur Rahman signed the notification informed these information.

It is said that the demand must be submitted from the district and upazila or thana education office in the prescribed web app by September 10. On September 12, the district and upazila secondary education office must approve the demand. And on September 17, regional deputy directors will approve the demand. Submission of demand for textbooks has started from last September 5

According to the notification of NCTB, printing and supplying free textbooks of 2025 academic year to all the students of the country by January 1, 2025 is a priority and public activity of the government. For the implementation of this program, every academic year from submitting the demand for textbooks until the textbooks reach the hands of the students, all the district-upazila-thana secondary education offices under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI) cooperate tirelessly.

According to the letter sent to the district and upazila education officer, like other years in the academic year 2025, the demand for textbooks of 6th-10th class Madhyamik (Bangla and English version), Dakhil, SSC and Dakhil Vocational and Technical Trade level has been collected online through web application. But as per the government decision, in the case of class 9th and 10th, branch and cluster wise revised and revised textbooks prepared in the light of National Curriculum 2012 (to be used in the academic year 2023) will be given. For this purpose, it is requested to collect the demand of 9th and 10th class textbooks from all the educational institutions from your region-district-upazila-thana and send the book demand through the newly developed web application within the stipulated time.

According to the instructions for submission of demand, there is no need to send hard copy or soft copy of demand online or by e-mail to any office other than Secondary Education Office or to NCTB. Any notice-office order issued by NCTB regarding demand is requested to be verified on NCTB website (www.nctb.gov.bd).
