When the police will enter the field in full swing, Sargees asked the Home Affairs Advisor

Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sarjis Alam put various questions to the home adviser regarding the clash of students with Ansar members in front of the secretariat. He put these questions in a post on his Facebook ID on Monday (August 26) afternoon. At the same time, he explained the incident that happened in front of the secretariat on Sunday (August 25).

Sarjis Alam wrote in a Facebook post, I want to ask the Home Affairs Advisor – when will the police enter the field in full swing? Why this state of security in the secretariat? Why should the students go? Why did my brothers shoot? Where did you get this Arms answer?

He wrote, “For the past 1 week, we have visited more than 20 public and private hospitals in Dhaka and have seen our injured brothers. Talked to doctors, patients, staff. I have heard many stories inside and outside this corrupt health system. We want to report them to the health advisor. He calls us to hear our words.

He also wrote that the trucks going to the flood-affected areas with our relief or the vehicles in which the relief was coming to the campus from different places could not reach the campus. Moreover, call-messages were coming from remote parts of the flood-affected areas for relief. We go to talk to the Home Affairs Adviser to talk about law enforcement activities, operations and normalization of the situation. While going to talk about these two issues, we see the movement of Ansar blocking the roads around the Secretariat. Later we informed the matter to the Home Affairs Adviser. We learned that before us two other advisers Nahid Islam and Asif Mahmud spoke to the Home Affairs Adviser and called for a logical solution.

He wrote, later our two advisers Nahid Islam and Asif Mahmud spoke to them and immediately called for discussion and sat in discussion several times with a team of 7 members including the home adviser. Many of their demands were accepted and they were assured of patient and logical solution to the rest of the demands considering the current situation.

He alleged that a group did not want to accept these talks. Their words and actions revealed their different intentions. If not, what is the rationale of keeping everyone blocked in the secretariat even after the discussion from morning to 10 pm? But then their delegation was inside the secretariat. When millions of people are affected by flood in 2 divisions of the country, what is the reason for destabilizing the state without giving maximum cooperation?
