'Wings of BPL' flew to the tune of Qawwali.

After the performance of the local band, the main attraction, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, began to wait. At the end of the firework display, the Pakistani artist was mesmerized by qawwali tunes for about two hours from 9 pm. His son Shazman Khan also sang. Who graced the stage for the first time at the Army Stadium with his father.

Rahat Fateh Ali performed at the BPL Music Fest at the Home of Cricket Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla on Monday (December 23). The wings of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) flew to the tune of his qawwali. For the first time, the mascot named 'Dana 36' was unveiled at this year's event.

Rahat Fateh Ali performed for two hours even though he was supposed to perform for three hours. He enthralled the audience with all his famous songs. BCB is paying him Rs 3.5 crore for performing in Sher-e-Bangla.

The concert started at 4 pm. Avoid Rafa took the stage at the beginning. Most of the seats in Sher-e-Bangla were vacant then. The attendance of visitors increased as time progressed.

At the end of Rafa's performance, a break for Maghrib prayers was given. After the break, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmood, BCB President Farooq Ahmed took the stage. Asif announced the opening of BPL. After that, some people who were injured in the July coup were called to the stage. Everyone paid tribute to Arafat on the death of Shishu Arafat, who was injured in the anti-discrimination student movement. After the tributes, a special exhibition on the July Mass Movement was shown.

Then Jeffer came to the stage. Muja and Sanjay joined him. They sing for hours. After their performance, the popular band Miles came on stage. After Miles' performance, Jeffer-Muzara performed the BPL theme song. After half an hour, the sponsors of the music fest presented their statements. After that, the much-anticipated Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's performance began.

The BCB has a special arrangement for those injured in the July-August coup. In this zone called “Zone 36”, 100 seats were reserved for the injured. They were also present there.

It does not end here. BPL Music Fest will be held in Chittagong and Sylhet. Various attractions are appearing in this year's BPL. Apart from the mascot, the trophy tour will be similar to the FIFA and ICC World Cups.

The country's only franchise-based T20 cricket competition will begin on December 30 with the match between Fortune Barisal and Durbar Rajshahi. Seven teams are participating in the eleventh season of BPL. A total of 46 matches will be held. It will be played in Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong. The final match will be on February 7. An additional day has been kept as reserve.
