Woman ‘About to Cry’ After Struggling to Reverse Car, Then a Man Walks Over

When maneuvering your car feels impossible, sometimes all you need is a helping hand, which is exactly what happened for one woman when a stranger stepped in to assist her.

After trying to back her car out of a tight parking space for 15 minutes, TikTok user Katarina thought she was going to remain stuck. She told Newsweek via Instagram that she was “struggling a lot,” and she’d all but given up hope on moving the vehicle. That was, until a complete stranger offered to move the car for her.

The 24-year-old, who is from Prague, but was visiting family in Slovakia at the time, felt overwhelmed with gratitude for the man’s kindness as she felt “so desperate in that moment.” Without hesitation, she instantly took him up on the offer.

“I was struggling to back the car out because the other car was parked too close to me, and I was next to a pylon on the other side, and so I got stuck,” Katarina said. “My friend got outside of the car to help navigate me, but then she started laughing and told me some guys were asking if I needed help. I was so happy because I was about to cry.”

Having never met this man before, Katarina did start to worry about what could happen, but he made polite conversation to put her mind at ease. He explained to her that he’s Italian and was visiting friends in Slovakia.

“At first, when he offered to help, I wanted to cry with happiness, and then shortly after, the stranger danger hit me and I was worried about whether he might steal the car, or maybe even kidnap me,” she continued.

As he backed the car out of the spot, Katarina gladly sat in the passenger seat. All the while, her friend captured the moment from the sidelines to document his heroic deed.

Katarina shared the clip on TikTok (@kaataas) last week to hail the stranger for coming to her rescue. The video has delighted users on the social media platform and in just a matter of days it’s already amassed 430,000 views and more than 22,000 likes on TikTok.

However, the man’s generosity didn’t end after he reversed the car, as Katarina said he also asked for her number and invited her out for some drinks afterwards.

“After he backed the car out, he stayed in the driver’s seat for a little while and gave me his number, offering me and my friend to go for drinks later,” Katarina told Newsweek. “I feel like a lot of girls have experienced something like this before, so they understood it. At the same time, a lot of people online started shipping me and the Italian guy, saying things like it’s a weird way to propose.”

Unfortunately, Katarina didn’t take him up on the offer as she explained that she wanted a quiet evening with her friend since they were leaving the next morning. Nevertheless, she is eternally grateful for his small act of kindness.

It was certainly unexpected, so she posted the footage of the memorable encounter on social media to hail his generosity. But as it’s so distant from the fashion content she usually posts, she had no idea the video would generate so much attention online.

Many TikTok users have commented on the post to praise the stranger for helping Katarina out, while others insisted it could be the start of a budding romance.

One user wrote: “I’d fall in love right there.”

Another joked: “What’s your love language? A man who can reverse out of a parking space for me.”

While a third user added: “Marry him alreadyy girlll.”
