A server gave a diner three spoons to accompany her enormous dessert, and the woman’s reaction has left the internet in stitches.
Abigail Bensch (@abigailbensch) had ordered what looked like a banana split pizookie—a warm, gooey cookie topped with ice cream and bananas, served in a skillet—from BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. The perfect treat to share, or so the server thought.
“I got three spoons there for you,” the server said as she delivered the dessert to the table, assuming the girls would share—but Bensch had other plans.
In a video that racked up over 255,200 likes and more than 2.2 million views on TikTok, she used all three spoons to devour the treat herself.
“Taking advantage of the $5 pizookies on Tuesdays,” Bensch wrote in the caption.
The footage shows Bensch’s friends eyeing the decadent dessert with clear anticipation.
But instead of passing out the spoons, she quickly digs in, using all three utensils to shovel the dessert into her mouth with impressive speed.
BJ’s $5 pizookie offer is a popular deal, available every Tuesday, allowing diners to enjoy their signature dessert at a discounted price. The pizookie, a pizza cookie, is a beloved item at the casual dining chain known for its extensive menu that includes deep-dish pizzas and handcrafted beers.
Sharing food at a restaurant has its own set of unspoken rules that help maintain harmony at the table.
According to etiquette guidelines, when a dish is served with the intention of sharing, it’s important to consider others before diving in.
This means waiting for everyone to have a chance to take a portion before serving yourself more. Additionally, it’s courteous to use serving utensils rather than your own, to avoid cross-contamination and to keep the dining experience enjoyable for everyone.

The basic etiquette includes offering a fair portion to each person and distributing it onto separate plates to ensure everyone gets a taste, according to Wilson Panneerselvam, an expert in hospitality.
However, Bensch’s bold move sparked plenty of laughter online, as it humorously defied these norms.
One user said: “The audacity to assume you were gonna share,”
While other viewers were amused by the woman’s self-indulgence, as someone else shared: “One time they did this, and I said, ‘Oh, I get three spoons!’ The waitress laughed.”
Another user also weighed in, writing: “As a server, I always put one extra spoon than the number of people at the table.”
Newsweek reached out to Abigail Bensch for comment via Instagram. We could not verify the details of the case.
