Woman’s Husband Has the Most Adorable—and Expensive—’Green Flag’

A TikTok video posted by Briony Mammone (@brionymammone) has gone viral after she revealed her husband’s “green flag” habit: offering to buy her anything she says she likes. Since the video was posted, it has received over three million views and over 380,000 likes. Mammone, 28, spoke to Newsweek about her husband’s adorable habit and how it reflects their relationship.

“My husband’s green flag is offering to buy it for me as soon as I say I like something,” Mammone captioned the video. “For context, the answer is mostly no, but he always insists.”

Mammone told Newsweek that her husband has “spoilt” her since they first met—something she’s not used to and has never experienced in past relationships or home life, she said.

“I had an ex start an argument over paying for my small cheeseburger meal because I forgot my purse at home and couldn’t pay like I always did,” she wrote in a comment on the video.

Because of her history, her husband’s love language was not quite compatible with how Mammone knew to operate.

“I’m super independent, so it took a while for me to accept that he genuinely adores spoiling me and making me happy,” she said. “Two years on and I still struggle to say yes, but he is adamant I deserve it and gets things anyway.”

She said the best gift her husband has ever gotten for her was a trip to the Maldives for the couple’s first Valentine’s Day together.

People in the comments loved the candid footage of Mammone’s husband being eager to please his wife—and many longed for it themselves. To them, Mammone had some words of advice. “I’ve been through it too girl, it takes time to heal and I count my lucky stars I found such a pure man, but don’t rule it out for yourself,” she wrote in the comments.

‘Healed Every Part of Me’

Mammone and her husband met two years ago while traveling in Europe, she said. The pair recently eloped in Lake Como in Italy, evidenced by beautiful photos and clips on Mammone’s TikTok page.

And their love is even more abundant offline, she shared.

“My god, this man is the most genuine, generous, caring, romantic, and kind-natured man,” Mammone said. “He has truly healed every part of me, so this video is only a very small glimpse of all of the beautiful things he does.”
