WWE Superstar Shares Heartbreaking Personal News

A member of the “WWE NXT” roster has suffered a tragic loss. In an X post delivered on Wednesday, Lexis King revealed that his brother, Jesse Morgan, passed away. In his statement announcing the news, King revealed that Morgan had been working on getting a degree.

“I lost my brother today,” King wrote. “He was a badass, highly intelligent, witty and charismatic dude who grew up in the 90s. He loved video games, Warhammer, R.A. Salvatore, among many other cool bro stuff. Recently we had been on Discord playing StarCraft 2 co-op together and he was enrolled in classes at the University of Cincinnati.”

King also noted that Morgan served in Afghanistan as a U.S. veteran. The “NXT” star said his brother struggled after surviving “traumatic events” while on duty.

Lexis King Gets Support From Wrestling Community

Well-known wrestling personality Conrad Thompson sent his condolences to King, writing, “So sorry for your loss Brian.” TNA Wrestling star KC Navarro also showed support for King, saying, “So sorry for your loss brother. Sending love and prayers to you and your family.” Wrestling veteran Lance Anoa’I, the cousin of popular WWE superstar Roman Reigns, sent a prayer emoji to King.

Andrew Zarian of Fightful and “Wrestling Observer Live” also reacted to the devastating personal news, as well as the official X account of Coastal Championship Wrestling.

Morgan was born in 1987, six years before the birth of his brother King. In his last Facebook post, he quoted Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd U.S. president.

King last performed on the Sept. 23 episode of “NXT” in a marquee lights out match against top prospect Myles Borne. There’s no word on whether or not King will take time off from WWE TV following the loss of his brother.
