“An immigrant who left Bangladesh as a boy for Falls Church, the 33-year-old went on the offensive on the campaign trailahead of last week’s primary about gun control, abortion and transgender rights. The maverick longtime lawmaker he challenged, state Sen.Chap Petersen (Fairfax City), outspent him by a factor of nearly 6 to 1.” Washington Post.
