A man named Imdad Sheikh (50) was killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a Mahindra in Faridpur. 4 people were injured in this accident.

This road accident took place in Sameshpur area of ​​Faridpur Sadar around 4:30 pm on Thursday (April 18). The deceased Imdad Sheikh is the son of Tarajuddin Sheikh of Ghoradah area of ​​district headquarters.

The injured are – Aktaruzzaman Rimu, Khandkar Jillul Haque Suman, Laiju Begum and Chiddik Matubbar. The homes of most of the injured are in different areas of Saltha Upazila.

According to police sources, a microbus going from Faridpur to Saltha collided head-on with a Mahindra going to Faridpur from Saltha. When five people were seriously injured, they were rescued and taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur. Meanwhile, a person named Imdad Sheikh died after being taken to the hospital. Among the injured, one named Siddique Matubbar was shifted to Dhaka as his condition was critical.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kotyali Police Station. Shahriar Hossain said that after receiving the news, the injured were rescued and taken to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur. However, one person named Imdad Sheikh died after being taken to the hospital. The driver of the microbus fled after the incident. Legal action in this regard is under process.
