None of the 13 former ministers and MPs who were summoned for questioning on charges of various irregularities and corruption and illegal wealth amassing have appeared before the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). He did not even apply to the ACC for time.
The summonses were scheduled to appear on September 1, 2 and 3. Among those who have been summoned – former foreign minister. Hasan Mahmud, former MP of Jaipurhat-2 constituency Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan and former MP of Bagerhat-1 constituency Sheikh Helal were asked to appear on September 1.
Besides, on September 2, former Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Imran Ahmed, former Minister of State for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Bipu, former Minister of State for Shipping Ministry Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, former Minister of State for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak, former Minister of State for Primary and Ministries Zakir Hossain were summoned. .
Also former Kushtia-1 MP Sarwar Jahan, former Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, former Minister of State for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya, former Jessore-1 MP Sheikh Afil Uddin, and Rajshahi-4 ( Enamul Haque, former MP of Bagmara) constituency, was summoned on September 3.

In this case, the wealth has increased from a minimum of 100 times to several thousand times. In some cases wealth and income increased up to lakhs. Among them, only former ICT state minister Junaid Ahmed Palak is said to be arrested and in jail.

A five-member team led by ACC Deputy Director Mostafizur Rahman is investigating the corruption of those 13 former ministers and MPs. Everyone has already been banned from leaving the country.
