13 people died in the flood, 9 lakh families were trapped in water

About 4.5 lakh people in 11 districts have been affected so far due to floods caused by landslides and heavy rains. 13 people have died so far. About 45 lakh people have been affected. 9 lakh families are still under water shortage.

He said, currently 11 districts of the country are flooded. Floods have become severe in Feni. Besides Chittagong, Comilla, Noakhali, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Brahmanbaria, Laxmipur, Khagrachari and Cox's Bazar districts have been affected by floods.

The total number of affected people in 11 districts is 44 lakh 97 thousand 535 people. He also said that the affected families are 8 lakh 87 thousand 629 people.

The disaster secretary said that 13 people have died in the flood so far, including two women. 4 died in Comilla, 1 in Feni, 2 in Chittagong, 1 in Noakhali, 1 in Brahmanbaria, 1 in Laxmipur and 3 in Cox's Bazar.

Kamrul Hasan also said that 3 thousand 160 shelters have been opened so far. One lakh 88 thousand 739 people have taken shelter in these shelters.

A total of 637 medical teams are operational to provide medical care to the victims of 11 districts.

Tk 3 crore 52 lakh in cash, 20 thousand 150 tons of rice and 15 thousand food packets have been distributed among the flood victims from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

In addition, the ministry informed that all the districts of the country have sufficient stock of relief materials.

The District Commissioners of the flood affected districts have been given necessary instructions to work in coordination with the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator, Army, Navy, Medical Team and other volunteers.
