Ashulia in Savar has been in turmoil for the past few days in the face of labor unrest, but on Saturday (September 7) there was some normalcy. Meanwhile, production has started in most of the factories, but 18 factories are still closed. Army, BGB and Industrial Police are deployed at important places in the industrial area to keep the situation normal.
According to Shilpa Police sources, Hamim Group's activities in Ashulia are ongoing but New Age is closed. And NASA group workers came to the factory and left after punching the card. Workers of Anant and Al Muslim Garments entered the factory but are on strike. The Industrial Police initially confirmed the closure of 18 factories.
Meanwhile, workers of some factories in Narsinghpur area of Tongi-Ashulia-EPZ road walked out without working. However, there were no reports of factory attacks, vandalism and chases or highway blockades.
In this regard, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Ashulia Industrial Police-1 Anwar Hossain Khan said, Army, BGB, RAB and members of our industrial police are deployed in the places where there is a possibility of riots. The situation is currently under control. Those who are inciting to destabilize the garment sector are being identified and legal action is being taken.
