20 houses of 9 families burnt to ashes in Pirganj


20 residential houses of 9 families were burnt to ashes in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. The fire incident took place in the farm Senua village of the upazila on Sunday morning. At that time, 20 houses of 9 families, necessary documents, paddy, rice, cash were burnt to ashes. In total, the victims said that there was a loss of around 20 lakh rupees.

The victims of the fire are Farazul, Farooq, Rasul Bux, Ayyub Ali, Shahadat Ali, Shahid Ali, Nazrul Islam, Anisur and Masud Rana of Khamar Senua village of Pirganj upazila.

The victim Farajul said, 'I was sleeping when I suddenly saw the fire on top of the house. The fire spread quickly. This seems doubtful. I could not get anything necessary from the house including rice, rice, clothes, money.'

Bhomrahdah Union Chairman Hitler Haque confirmed the matter and said that temporary assistance has been provided from the Union Parishad and Upazila Parishad. The matter is also being looked into.

Confirming the matter, Pirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khairul Enam Don said that the police are investigating the matter at the scene.
