20 km traffic jam on Dhaka-Chittagong highway

Since dawn, there has been severe traffic jam for 20 kilometers on the Chittagong-bound lane from Siddhirganj signboard in Narayanganj to Darikandi area in Sonargaon on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. As a result, passengers and drivers have suffered greatly.

On Wednesday (August 28) morning, such a picture can be seen by going to the Langalband Bridge area of ​​the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. As of writing this report at 10:30 am, the traffic jam has not eased.

An employee said, heavy traffic since morning. I have been sitting on the bus for a long time. Maybe I'll wait a little longer. Then I will return home.

A woman garment worker said, the entire road is blocked. Due to the traffic jam, we have to go to the factory. It costs more. We are poor people. If you spend more than the calculation, you will be in trouble.

A bus driver said it took about an hour to reach the Shimrail junction from the signboard. There is so much jam on the road that there is no condition for the bus to move forward at the Shimrail intersection. The passengers are also getting down from the bus. I don't know how many more hours it takes to cross the rest of the way.
