3 injured in clash between two groups of Chhatra League in Brahmanbaria


A clash took place between the supporters of the two organizing secretaries of the District Chhatra League during the special workers meeting of the District Chhatra League in Brahmanbaria. In this incident, 3 Chhatra League workers were beaten and injured.

The clash took place in front of the cooperative market next to the meeting ground during the special meeting of the District Chhatra League at Jatiya Bir Abdul Quddus Makhan Paur Muktamanch on Friday (May 10) around 1 pm.

The injured Chhatra League workers are – Sadaf (15) of Kazipara Mohalla of the city, Nirav (16) and Khandkar Noor (15) of the same area. All of them are supporters of District Chhatra League Organizational Secretary (1) Mohsin Mollah.

According to the police and eyewitness sources, during the special meeting of the District Chhatra League at Jatiya Vir Abdul Quddus Makhan Municipal Mukta Manch of Bangabandhu Square, the Organizing Secretary of the District Chhatra League (1) Md. Supporters of Mohsin Mollah gathered in front of the Cooperative Market next to the rally venue. Meanwhile, the supporters of the other organizing secretary (2) Rahul Amin Afridi suddenly attacked the supporters of Mohsin Mollah. Meanwhile, Afridi's supporters beat and injured three supporters of Mohsin Mollah. Later, BLA workers took three injured BLA workers to the 250-bed Brahmanbaria General Hospital where they were given first aid.

Nirav and Sadaf, who were injured in the hospital, said that there was a dispute with them from before. They were attacked because of this dispute. They said, before we could understand anything, the supporters of opponent Ruhul Amin Afridi attacked us. We demand justice for the attackers.

Organizing Secretary of District Chhatra League-1 Md. Mohsin Mollah said, I will take legal action in case of attack on my followers.

Another organizing secretary-2 Ruhul Amin Afridi confirmed the truth of the incident and said, I will take action against my workers.

Arifuzzaman Himel, the doctor on duty at the 250-bed Brahmanbaria General Hospital said that all the injured are safe.

In this regard, Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Aslam Hossain said that the police were present at the scene during the clash. Immediately the policemen chased and dispersed the BCL leaders and workers. No one has complained to the police station in this regard so far.
