Three people were killed in a motorcycle accident in Jokiganj, Sylhet. The incident took place in Barthakuri Brickfield area of Sylhet-Jakiganj road on Saturday night.
The deceased are Redowan Ahmad (26), Delwar Hossain (25) and Manjur Ahmad (38). All their homes are in Barthakuri village of Barthakuri UP.
According to local sources, the three young men were returning home on a motorcycle around 11:30 pm. After reaching Barthakuri Brickfield, their motorcycle collided with an illegal trawler carrying soil blocked on the road.
Redwan Ahmad and Delwar Hossain died on the spot. Manzoor was rescued in critical condition and died on the way to Sylhet MAG Osmani Hospital.
The OC of Jokiganj police station confirmed the matter. Javed Masud said that the news of the death of two people in the accident has been confirmed. The news of another person's death could not be fully confirmed.
