About 30 people were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Brahmanbaria's Vijaynagar. 20 seriously injured people have been sent to different hospitals for treatment.
According to the police, on Sunday (April 14) evening, at Rampur on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, at least 30 passengers of both buses were injured when a Dhaka-bound Shyamoli Paribahan collided head-on with a Digant bus bound for Madhavpur.
Confirming the matter, Khatihata Highway Police Officer-in-Charge Saruar Alam said that after 6:00 p.m., Shyamoli Paribahan bus collided head-on with Digant Bus, the front part of Digant Bus was broken and the Shyamoli Paribahan bus fell into the ditch.
About 30 people in both buses were injured. The injured have been sent to various hospitals for treatment. Among them, 7/8 people have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment, he said.
