5 retired police officers got their jobs back


During the change of power, four superintendents of police and one DIG, who were sent on compulsory retirement during the Awami League government, have been brought back to work by the interim government.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued five separate notifications on Tuesday (August 27) to return them to work. They shall be deemed to have been 'in service' from the time of retirement till their reinstatement in service.

According to the notification, the period from the date of grant of retirement in public interest till reinstatement will be considered as working and will get their arrears of pay, promotion and other benefits of service as per rules.
