The newly elected committee of Dhaka Sub-Editors Council (DSEC) has taken over. On Thursday (May 9) at Topkhana in the capital, the responsibility was handed over after a joint meeting of the two committees under the chairmanship of outgoing committee president Mamun Faraji. The outgoing committee welcomed the new committee members in the meeting.
The outgoing president explained the files of the organization to the newly elected president Muktadir Anik and general treasurer Jawahar Iqbal Khan. Under the direction of Labin Rahman, BFUZ President Omar Farooq, DUZ President Shahidul Islam, former president Quddus Afrad spoke at the event. Besides, among the former presidents of DSEC, Mir Mostafizur Rahman, Kaykobad Milan, Md. Al Mamun, Md. Ashraful Islam, Zakir Hossain Imon and general editor Masum Billah, Shahjahan Mia, KM Obaidur Rahman, editor of Bangladesh Alor Mofizur Rahman Khan Babu, editor of Daily Bangladesh Rony Reza, senior journalist Mojibur Rahman, young Tapan Chakraborty, Kazi Tanvir Aladin, Anwar Sadat Sabuj, Saikhul Islam Ujwal and others.
Among the newly elected members, President Muktadir Anik and General Treasurer Jawahar Iqbal Khan, Vice President Ali Imam Suman, Joint Secretary Monir Ahmad Zarif, Organizing Secretary Shahid Rana, Treasurer Nazim ud-Daula Sadi, Office Secretary Zafarul Alam, Publicity and Publication Secretary were present. Md. Arif Ahmed, Training and Research Secretary Tarek Hossain Bappi, Sports and Cultural Secretary Nahid Hasan, Welfare Secretary Md. Safayet Hossain, Women Affairs Editor Farzana Nazneen (Flora). The executive members are Shamsul Alam Setu, Anjuman Ara Shilpi, Anjuman Ara Moon, Jasmine Jahan, Tanjimul Nayan, Mashreka Jahan and Mohammad Abu Yusuf.
