Bandarban SSC pass rate increased by 2 percent


Bandarban Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam pass rate has increased this year. The pass rate this year is 72.75 percent. Last year the pass rate of SSC exam in Bandarban was 70.30 percent.

District Primary Education Officer Faridul Islam informed this information on Sunday (May 12) afternoon.

A total of 5 thousand 72 students participated in technical, madrasa and schools in Bandarban district this time. 3 thousand 6 hundred and 90 students have passed the exam. Among them 100 students got GPA-5.

According to the District Education Office sources, 4 thousand 459 students participated in the school-based SSC examination. 3 thousand 2 hundred 3 passed and 93 got GPA-5. This time the pass rate of the school is 71.83 percent. 423 students participated in madrasa based SSC examination, 340 students passed and 6 students got GPA-5. The passing rate is 80.37 percent and 190 people participated in the examination of technical department, 1 hundred 47 people passed and 1 person got GPA-5. The pass rate is 77.3 percent.

In this regard, District Primary Education Officer Faridul Islam said that due to last year's flood, the education of students was somewhat deficient. Because at that time all the books were destroyed in the flood. So the students could not study well. However, the pass rate has increased this year compared to last year. The pass rate will increase further in the future.
