The weather office has given a glimpse of rain with thunder and temperature will drop


The Meteorological Office has announced the weather forecast for the next three days. The Meteorological Department reported that the temperature dropped by 3 degrees Celsius with rain and hail in different parts of the country. This information was given in the forecast for the next 72 hours given by the Meteorological Department on Friday (May 17) at 9 am.

According to the organization, till 9 am on Saturday (May 18) two or two places of Sylhet division may experience rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder, along with scattered hailstorm at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Mild to moderate heat waves are prevailing over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and may continue. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.

On Sunday (May 19) till 9 am, some places of Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and one or two places of Mymensingh, Dhaka and Khulna divisions may experience temporary rain or thunder with gusty winds, as well as scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. The ongoing heatwave conditions may ease from some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.

On Monday (May 20), many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet Divisions and some places of Barisal and Khulna Divisions may receive temporary rain or thundershowers, and scattered hailstorms at some places. The ongoing heatwave conditions may subside from most parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may drop by (1-3) degrees Celsius across the country.

According to synoptic conditions, the extension of western low pressure is extending from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal.

In the extended 5 (five) day weather conditions, rain or thundershowers may continue.
