Son broke his mother's leg for asking for money for family expenses

A 45-year-old mother was brutally beaten by her son and her son broke her leg after she demanded money from her son for running the family in Sherpur's Jhenaigati.

Pashand son's name is Md. Habibur Rahman (25). Md. Hasligaon village of Malizhikanda union of that upazila. Son of Riaz Uddin. In this incident, his father complained to the police station and the police arrested him on Monday (May 20) night.

When he was sent to court today (21 May) at noon, the court sent him to jail. Jhenaigati Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bachir Ahmed Badal has confirmed the truth of this incident.

According to the source of the complaint, around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, his old mother Alpana Begum (45) asked her son Habibur Rahman for some money for family expenses. There is an argument between the mother and son over the demand for this money. At one point, instead of giving money, he raised his hand on his mother's groin. At that time, he hit the leg from the opposite side and broke the leg with blisters and injuries in different parts of the body. Currently the mother is under treatment.

Later, on Monday night, his father Riaz Uddin (55) became the plaintiff and filed a written complaint against the bigoted son at the police station. Police arrested him later that night.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaigati Police Station Bachir Ahmed Badal said, I arrested her son at night as soon as she received the complaint of torture of the mother. He was handed over to the court this afternoon. The court sent him to jail.
