45 thousand pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia


About 45,000 pilgrims from Bangladesh have reached Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj this year. This information was reported in the daily Hajj bulletin of the Ministry of Religion on Monday (May 27).

Among the pilgrims who went to Saudi Arabia, 3 thousand 747 people went to government management and 41 thousand 296 people went to private management.

These pilgrims arrived in Saudi on 113 flights from Bangladesh. Out of this, Biman operates 53 Bangladesh Airlines flights, 36 Saudi Airlines flights and 24 Flynas Airlines flights.

Meanwhile, six Bangladeshis have died while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia so far. They are all men.

This year, 85 thousand 117 people will go to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj with guides under government and private management. Out of this, 4 thousand 323 people will go to Hajj by government and 78 thousand 895 people by private. 1 thousand 899 people will go with these pilgrims as guides.

It should be noted that the Holy Hajj will be held on June 16 subject to the sighting of the moon. The first return flight of pilgrims will start on June 20 and end on July 22.
