Dhaka-Mymensingh train service started after about three and a half hours. Earlier, the engine failure of the Teesta Express train took place in the outer signal area of Gafargaon railway station in Mymensingh. Dhaka-Mymensingh rail communication was closed.
On Saturday (June 1) at around 11 am, the engine of the Mymensingh-bound Teesta Express train from Dhaka broke down.
Confirming the matter, ATSI Karthik Roy of Gofargaon Railway Station said that the engine of the Mymensingh-bound Teesta Express leaving from Dhaka broke down at the outer signal area of Gofargaon Railway Station.
Later the Mahua Express train from Dhaka stopped at Mashakhali station. From there, at around 12:30 p.m., after leaving the Mahua Express compartment, the engine came to Gafargaon and pushed it from the back of the Teesta Express to the station.
At present, Teesta Express stops at Gafargaon Station Line 1 and runs Dhaka-Mymensingh train through Line 2. He also said that around 2:30 PM, the alternative engine came and took the Teesta Express ten compartment and headed towards Mymensingh.
