The child died due to the impact of the tom tom

In Alikadam upazila of Bandarban, TomTom car hit Md. A child named Mahmud (7) was killed.

The accident took place on Sunday (June 2) at around 8:30 am in Reparpara Bazar of No. 2 Chaikshyong Union.

The deceased Mahmud is the son of Badsha Mia of Ward No. 5 Tarabunia Para of the same union and is a student of Alikadam Islamia Orphanage and Shelter in Reparpara Bazar.

Assistant Medical Officer Bibi Fatema, who is in charge of the emergency department of Lama Hospital, said that a CNG driver named Minhaj brought the child to the hospital around 9 am. The child died before being brought to the hospital. The child died due to head injuries.

Later the locals rescued the child and handed it over to my CNG. At that time the TomTom driver was also with me. The TomTom driver fled after the doctor declared the baby dead. The child is a student at Alikadam Islamia Orphanage. The people of the orphanage have been destroyed.

Lama police sub-inspector Imam Hossain said that the preliminary examination of the body has been done. As the spot has fallen to Alikadam police station, the body will be handed over there for further legal proceedings.
