Arrest warrant issued against Rafsan the younger brother

An arrest warrant has been issued against popular content creator and food vlogger Iftekhar Rafsan alias Rafsan the younger brother for marketing unlicensed blue drinks.

On Thursday (June 13) afternoon, Pure Food Court Judge Alaul Akbar gave the order.

Authorized Food Inspector of Safe Food Authority. Kamrul Hossain said in an application, 'Blue Drinks' has no approval. Even the drug administration does not know whether 'blue drinks' are drugs or drinks. In view of this, an arrest warrant was issued against Iftekhar Rafsan.

Earlier, on April 24, a team led by Comilla Executive Magistrate and Senior Assistant Commissioner Farhana Nasreen raided M/s Blue Drinks factory located in Bisik area of ​​the city. Which went viral on social media again on May 17.

At the end of the operation it was informed that M/s Drinkblue Beverages, B-33, Bisik Shilpanagari, Adarsh ​​Sadar, Comilla; The company was manufacturing 'electrolyte drink' product without obtaining packaging registration certificate.

At that time, it was known that iftekhar Rafsan's Blue Drinks (BLU) factory was manufacturing substandard blue drinks. A fine of 30 thousand rupees was imposed for this at that time.

Also, the drinks were being bottled by hand as there was no measuring device in the factory. A fine of 30 thousand taka is imposed under section 41 of the 'Weights and Measurement Standards Act-2018' for packaging and marketing without registration.

The operation was led by Farhana Nasreen, Executive Magistrate and Senior Assistant Commissioner of Comilla, Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Mobile Courts. BSTI, Comilla Office Officer Arif Uddin Priya, Inspector (Metrology) acted as prosecutor and Iqbal Ahmed, Field Officer (CM) provided overall support.
