Traffic pressure is increasing on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway due to Eid. A long traffic jam has been created in an area of ​​11 km from Charbabala of Kalihati upazila to Bangabandhu bridge. Passengers and drivers have to suffer due to this. Elenga Highway Police in-charge Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman confirmed the matter on Saturday (June 15) morning.

In this regard, Elenga Highway Police in-charge Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman said, 'The pressure of people and vehicles has increased on the road during Eid. As a result, long queues of vehicles have formed from Elenga to the bridge. The police are working relentlessly on the highway.

Passengers and drivers said that the vehicles from Chandra to Elenga were moving in an orderly manner. The two-lane road from Elenga to Bangabandhu Bridge is causing traffic jams due to irregular traffic.

Note that 53 thousand 708 vehicles have crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge in the last 24 hours. 3 crore 80 lakh 63 thousand 400 taka has been collected in this toll.
