Signal number 3 in seaport

The Meteorological Department has asked Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports to display local warning signal No. 3.

Rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder may occur in 10 regions of the country.

The weather forecast for the country's inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm has said that over Tangail, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Faridpur, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions, south and southeast direction at a speed of 45-60 km per hour. Rain and thundershowers are possible with temporary gusty winds. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

According to the Meteorological Department, the extension of the monsoon axis has extended over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Its extension extends to the North Bengal Sea. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay of Bengal.

Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports have been asked to show local warning signal number three. Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay of Bengal have been asked to proceed cautiously close to the coast until further notice.

In the forecast for the next 24 hours from 6:00 pm on Friday, the Meteorological Department said that Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.

Day temperatures may rise slightly across the country. The night temperature may remain almost unchanged.
