Death of BNP leader: Case against 67 people including Sheikh Hasina

A case has been filed against 67 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on the charge of killing Abdullah Kabir Khan, the senior vice-president of BNP, Ward No. 11, Dhaka Metropolitan North, during the anti-discrimination student movement in Mirpur-10 area.

Abdullah Kabir's wife Afsana Akhtar alias Afsana Islam filed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehdi Hasan's court on Monday (August 19). The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the Mirpur Model Police Station to accept the complaint as evidence.

It was alleged in the case that during the anti-discrimination movement, Abdullah Kabir went to help the students in front of Mirpur-10 Gol Chattar Ideal School from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on August 4. Police, RAB, Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League fired indiscriminately on the orders of Sheikh Hasina during the movement. Abdullah Kabir went forward to help a student who had been shot. At that time he himself was shot. First he was taken to Max Hospital in Mirpur-14. Later taken to Kurmitola Hospital. However, due to the rush of dead bodies and the rush of injured patients, there was a delay in treatment, which led to over-protection. Later the doctor on duty declared him dead.
