Six bullets from the police while hanging, the young man is alive

A video of a building under construction went viral on social media Facebook during the quota reform movement. In the video, it can be seen that a young man is hanging from the 4th floor rod of the building and the police are shooting at him one after another.

When the video went viral, people from all walks of life protested and started criticizing it.

Many are questioning whether the boy shot in the widely circulated video is dead or alive.

That young man is alive. His name is Amir Hossain (18). The village house is in Bancharampur of Brahmanbaria.

He lost his mother 6-7 years ago. After the death of his mother, he moved to Dhaka with his three brothers and sisters. His father drives a rickshaw in the village.

Amir Hossain said that three brothers and sisters live in a tin shed house in Nayapara. He worked as a shop worker in Aftabnagar. His elder brother Nayan Mia works in a garment factory.

The shop was closed last July 19 (Friday) due to protests. On my way back home from Friday prayers, I fell into a back and forth chase near home. When the police started shooting, I ran to the fourth floor of the under construction building in fear.

He said that at one point the police also went up to the fourth floor of the building while chasing the protesters.

Finding him there, the policemen pointed guns at him and asked him to jump down repeatedly. A policeman fired a few shots to scare him. At one point, he jumped and hung on the rod of the building in fear. While he was still hanging, another policeman fired six shots at him from the third floor. The bullets hit both his legs. After the police left, he jumped and somehow landed on the third floor. After about three hours he was rescued by a student and two doctors.

Narrating the incident, Amir said, 'I still dream in my sleep that the police are shooting at me. I was shot a total of six rounds. I staggered for a long time where I fell after being shot. When I was rescued, after 10-15 minutes I had to be rescued dead.'

Amir said that now he cannot even go to the bathroom without the help of others. You don't even know if you will ever be able to walk. Can't even sleep at night due to severe leg pain. He is also worried about whether there will be a job, how to run the family.

Aamir was rescued by two local famous specialized hospital doctors. They gave first aid and sent Amir to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital. He was sent home after prescribing three months of medicine from Dhaka Medical.
