PBI investigating the case of 21 people including Sheikh Hasina-Rehana-Joy-Putul

During the anti-discrimination movement, the fruit seller shot at the procession of students in Jatrabari of the capital. The court has ordered the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the case filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, son Sajib Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul, and 21 others for allegedly killing Farid Sheikh.

The other accused in the case are Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Hasan Mahmud, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, Mohammad Ali Arafat, Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Syed Nurul Islam, Haroon-or-Rashid, Biplab Kumar. , Habibur Rahman, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Amir Hossain Amu, Saddam Hossain and Abul Hasan. 250 unidentified people have also been accused.

In the complaint of the case, the plaintiff pointed out that on August 4, during the violent movement of the students and people demanding Sheikh Hasina's resignation, at 3:30 in the afternoon, Farid Sheikh was going to his fruit shop on the south side of the toll plaza of Jatrabari flyover and was seriously injured by police bullets and fell down on the road. People around risked their lives and took him to Mugda Medical College Hospital for treatment. Farid died in the hospital on August 6 while undergoing treatment.
