As the current president of the board Nazmul Hasan Papon will resign. And former Bangladesh national team captain Farooq Ahmed is ready to take responsibility.

This is the first time that a former cricketer and captain is going to be the president of BCB, not an organizer or a person nominated by the government. However, the venue of this meeting is being discussed. The meeting will not be held at the BCB office, but at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Which is a government office.

If the BCB President Nazmul Hasan and his directors step down or are forced to do so in any situation where there is government interference, then Bangladesh will face ICC sanctions. Nazmul Hasan is scheduled to attend the meeting virtually. It is reported that he may announce his resignation by joining the meeting.
