Ice worth Tk 5 crore seized at Satkhira border

BGB has seized 1 kg of Indian crystal meth (ice) worth Tk 5 crore from Kakdanga border of Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira.

This drug was seized from the area of ​​Danganj on Tuesday (August 20) night.

Satkhira BGB 33 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed this.

He said, Naib Subedar of Kakdanga BOP on the basis of secret information that a large consignment of dangerous drug Indian crystal meth (ice) has been brought through Kakdanga border illegally from India. A patrol team of BGB led by Shamim Alam raided there. At this time, 1 kg of Indian crystal meth (ice) was recovered by searching a bag left in Kalaroa Upazila's Danganj area. At that time, the smuggling gang fled in the middle of the night after sensing the presence of the BGB, so they could not be apprehended. The market value of 1 kg of seized Indian crystal meth (ice) is Tk 5 crore.

He also said that the process of filing the General Diary (GD) in the Narcotics Control Directorate of Satkhira district is under process for taking legal action against seized drugs.
