Bangladesh Bank is disbanding the board of Islami Bank

He said this in a press conference at the central bank's head office on Wednesday.

The governor said that the central bank will form a new board of directors for Islami Bank.

He said, 'Those who embezzled the bank's money and left, if they have any shareholding in their name or anonymously, we are taking over.
We will legally take over all the shares of S Alam Group against filing.

'But if they can pay back the money they can get the shares back. But we don't think they have that intention. They have looted what they wanted to loot,' he said.

The governor also said that the situation that exists now must be rescued from. Maybe I won't get 100 taka, but I have to rescue whatever is available. If one is properly fit and has two percent share then they can become shareholder director.
