Human chain for 5-point demand including resignation of head teacher Barun in Palash

The current and former students of the Palash Thana Model High School in Narsingdi have formed a human chain to demand the resignation of the principal Varun Chandra Das on charges of irregularities and corruption, including 5 points.

Keeping the slogan save the school and remove the bad governance, on Wednesday (August 21) morning, the human blockade started from the square of Shahid Minar of the upazila and circled the different roads of the upazila and came to the school ground for an hour and held various slogans and protest programs in order to get the demands. The students demanded an end to the recruitment trade in schools, an end to indecent behavior with students, an end to harassment and harassment in collecting and correcting certificates of ex-students, an end to controversial drug-addicted members of the school management board and rampant irregularities and corruption.

Earlier, a call record between the former assistant headmaster of Palash Thana Model High School and another female teacher about the activities of the headmaster Varun Chandra Das regarding irregularities and corruption spread on social media caused a storm of condemnation among students and parents.

The current and former students of the school got angry and organized a human chain to demand the resignation of the headmaster Varun Chandra Das and the parents along with the students organized a human chain. Later, they gave a memorandum to the Upazila Nirbahi officer to collect the demand.

However, despite calling the accused headmaster Varun Chandra Das several times, he did not receive the call. He hung up repeatedly.

In this regard, Palash upazila executive officer Mohammad Shahidullah said that the students have formed a human chain for various demands. We got the memorial script. I will take action according to the following laws and regulations.
