BNP suspended party posts of Shama Obaid and Shahidul Islam

BNP has suspended all party posts of BNP organizing secretary Shama Obaid and Krishak Dal general secretary Shahidul Islam Babul.

On Wednesday (August 21), the central sources of BNP came to know this information.

Earlier today, a clash between two groups of BNP took place in Nagarkanda of Faridpur, centered around the organization of a street meeting by the central general secretary of Krishak Dal, Shahidul Islam Babul. A person named Kabir Bhuiyan was killed in this incident. At least 20 people were injured.

Kabir Bhuiya (55) is the son of Abul Basar Bhuiya of Chagaldi village of the upazila. It is also known that he was a BNP supporter. The injured are being treated at various hospitals including Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of Nagarkanda Circle Asaduzzaman Shakeel confirmed the casualty and said that additional police have been sent to bring the situation under control. The situation has been normalized by dispersing both sides.
