In the case, former Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader, former Minister of Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Member of Parliament of Narsingdi Lt. Colonel (retd.) Nazrul Islam Hero, former police chief Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former DB chief Haroon Or-Rashid, former district council chairman Moniruzzaman, district Awami League president GM Taleb Hossain, general secretary Pirzada Mohammad Ali and 81 others were accused. .

Earlier in the 12th National Parliament election, actor Ferdous won from Dhaka-10 constituency with Awami League's boat symbol. He won the election with 65 thousand 898 votes. And his nearest rival National People's Party candidate Shamsul Alam got 2 thousand 257 votes in mango symbol.
