Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's private industry and investment adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman is on remand for 10 days at the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) police office after being arrested while fleeing the country.
On Thursday (August 22), it was reported from the DB office at Minto Road in the capital that he gave important information regarding the remand quota movement.
During the interrogation, Salman F. Rahman told DB, 'During the agitation, I told former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that the people of the country are going against us. He didn't care. When the student movement was at its height, Sheikh Hasina asked me, 'The police is doing such a good job. Why can't the army At this time, I suggest to talk to the army chief about the matter.'
When DB officials told Salman F. Rahman that 'we don't even know how many cases there will be,' he said, 'I served 2 years in jail during One-Eleven. So there will be no problem.'
He also said, 'If I are kept in jail, it will harm the country. Because I have many workers in various organizations. They will not get paid. The money I borrowed from the bank will not be paid.
