India should be warned before releasing water: Rizwana Hasan

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Water Resources of the Interim Government, said that in the future, when India opens the dam and releases water, before Bangladesh is informed as a downstream country, that matter will be informed to the neighboring countries.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan said, if there is abnormal rain in the upstream country and there is a need to release water, then the downstream country needs to be informed in advance. So that the downstream people can prepare themselves and people can be evacuated. But this time India did not comply with this notification. This is also stated in our agreement with India.

The environmental advisor said that the message has been given to India to inform Bangladesh in advance if there is a question of releasing water from all the same rivers. Chief advisor.
