More than half a hundred activists joined the LDP

About half a hundred leaders and activists of various political parties have joined the Bangladesh LDP led by former whip Abdul Karim Abbasi under the leadership of Shariful Islam, a prominent businessman of Faridpur. On Saturday (August 24), they joined Abdul Karim Abbasi with flowers at his residence in Lalmatia of the capital.

LDP president Abdul Karim Abbasi said that Bangladesh got independence for the second time after the fall of the dictator Sheikh Hasina on August 5. Those who martyred in this movement including Abu Saeed of Rangpur are our proud children. Respect should be shown to them. Appropriate efforts should be made to find out the families of martyrs and injured and solve their problems.

He said, today, I congratulate and wish everyone who joined the leadership of the new generation on behalf of the leaders and activists of LPD. Politically this accession is very important. It will make the party organizationally stronger, especially in view of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Abdul Karim Abbasi also said that the conspiracy of Awami League is still continuing. Sheikh Hasina fled to India and sat there trying to destabilize the country. He urged the activists to be alert in this regard. Besides, he has requested the leaders, activists and countrymen to stand by the people of Khagrachari, Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, Moulvibazar and other flood-affected people with rescue and relief assistance.
