The list of media outlets circulating in the name of anti-discrimination student movement is fake

Anti-discrimination student leaders have informed the Office of the Chief Adviser that a vested interest group using the name of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement is running misinformation against various media including the mainstream media of the country.

They said, using the name of anti-discrimination student movement, this group lists some media outlets through letters or personally asking them not to cooperate with the anti-discrimination student movement and threatening to humiliate or fire them.

In this regard, the student leaders have made it clear to the Chief Adviser's office that such letters and lists are propaganda and fake. The leaders requested all concerned not to be confused by it.

Three front-line coordinators of the student movement have confirmed that the letter circulated under the title 'Media Alert' has nothing to do with the anti-discrimination student movement.

Nahid Islam, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement and adviser to the interim government, told the media on Sunday that the letter titled 'Media warning' circulated in the name of the anti-discrimination student movement is fake.

Earlier this afternoon, Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, posted a photo of the letter on Facebook and wrote, “This press release is fake.” It has nothing to do with the anti-discrimination student movement.

Another coordinator, Sarjis Alam, also posted a photo of the letter on Facebook, describing it as 'fake'.
