The price of gold in the country's market has been increased again in two days. The price of gold of the best quality or 22 carats (11.664 grams) has been increased by 1 thousand 936 taka to 1 lakh 27 thousand 942 taka. Through this, gold has risen to the highest price in the history of the country's market.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Sunday (August 25).
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that this price has been increased in view of the increase in the price of tazabi gold (seasoned gold) in the local market. The new prices will be effective from tomorrow Monday (August 26).
According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk. Each load of gold will be sold at 86 thousand 547 taka.
The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1 thousand 715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
Today, Sunday (August 25), the best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 26 thousand 6, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 20 thousand 279, 18 carat is Tk 1 lakh 3 thousand 98 and Traditional method of gold sold for 85 thousand 241 taka.
