It is reported that 30 students were injured in the chase and clash of students with Ansar members in the Secretariat area of ​​the capital. Later, the Ansar members left the secretariat after chasing the students.
Earlier, army personnel reached the spot to control the situation.
On Sunday (August 25) around 9:50 PM, they moved from the front of the secretariat. Earlier, the clash started at 9:20 pm. Students said that the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Earlier, in a Facebook post, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said, 'Everyone comes to Raju. Autocracy wants to come back as Ansar. All of us have been detained in the secretariat despite the demands being accepted.'
The students of Dhaka University left for the secretariat on the news of the detention of two coordinators, Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam. During this time Ansar members chased the students and beat some of them with sticks. Later chases and clashes took place. It was also alleged that Ansar members fired several rounds at one stage of the clash.
The students complained that when the students went towards the secretariat with a procession, the members of Ansar started pelting them with stones and stones. At one point Ansar members fired at the students. At least 30 people were injured.
They also said that when the news of the chase spread, thousands of students marched towards the secretariat. Then they chased the Ansar members. At one stage the members of Ansar were forced to flee in front of the secretariat.
