Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah injured in student-Ansar clash

Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, fell ill in the clash of students with Ansar members in the Secretariat area of ​​the capital. He was brought to the One Stop Emergency Center (OSEC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday (August 25) night.

Apart from the coordinator Hasnat Abdullah, 35 students were injured in the clash with Ansar members in the secretariat area. The clash took place in front of the secretariat at around 9:20 pm. The army has already reached the spot to control the situation.

It is reported that the injured have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Almost all of them have head injuries. Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia said, the injured started coming to the hospital from 9:30 p.m. They are undergoing treatment in the emergency department.

Earlier, around 8:30 pm, when Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam announced their detention on their Facebook posts, angry students started gathering at the foot of the Raju sculpture. Later around 9 pm they left for the Secretariat.

Apart from the two coordinators, various ministry and division officials working in the secretariat are also blocked due to the movement of Ansar members. Many of them are starving now. He ran from one gate to another to get out but could not get out.
