The husband is a teacher and the wife is a nanny. Under the influence of Awami League, they are regularly withdrawing salaries without fulfilling their duties month after month. A similar complaint was received in Patabuga Dakhil Madrasa of Pogaldigha Union of Sarishabari Upazila of Jamalpur. Name of the accused teacher. Ramzan Ali He is the former Publicity Secretary of Municipal Awami League. His wife Anjumanwara is a class IV employee (nanny) in the same madrasa.
The students have been boycotting classes and protesting for three days demanding the removal of the two accused. On Sunday (August 25), the aggrieved employees and students filed two separate written complaints with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
According to Madrasa and local sources, Patabuga Dakhil Madrasa assistant teacher Ramzan Ali appointed his wife Anjumanoara as a nanny in the same Madrasa in November 2022 under the influence of being a member of the then managing committee (teacher representative). Since then, for almost two years, Aya Anjumanoara has been drawing salary regularly without attending the madrasa with the influence of her husband and superintendent Ayub Ali. He attends only 1-2 days in a month and signs the whole month together in the attendance book.
It is alleged that Ayyar's husband and teacher Ramzan Ali Paur is a former publicity secretary of Awami League and he also does not teach regularly in the madrasa under influence. As a result of the violent behavior of the husband and wife, no one has the courage to protest their activities. Ramzan Ali has been harassing innocent teachers and staff with external cadres, threatening them, accusing them of false cases, forcing signatures on white stamps.
Meanwhile, if the matter is brought to the attention of the upazila secondary education office several times, the authorities give a verbal warning. Super Ayub Ali, teacher Ramzan Ali and nanny repeatedly disobeyed the order on August 11, upazila secondary education officer Md. Mozammel Haque gave a written warning notice to the superintendent of the madrasa. After that Aya came to the madrasa every day but just signed the attendance book and sat in the office room and the husband and wife left together at noon. They attack the students when they ask the nannies for the desired services. The students have been boycotting classes and protesting for three days in protest of this incident. Two separate written complaints have been filed with the UNO demanding the removal of the two accused.
Class IX students Apple, Al-Amin, Shakeel, Rakib, Mehdi, and many others complain that the nanny does not come to the madrasa, in fact, she cannot be spoken to. Gets angry when he calls her aunt, says to call her madam. Although it is his responsibility to clean the room, he never does it, he does it with the students. Even if someone wants to drink water, her husband Ramzan sir comes and scares the students, threatening to fail the exam. Protesting all this and demanding justice from the Superintendent, Ramzan Ali himself and his people are going to the students' houses and calling the parents to intimidate the parents.
Ruhul Amin, a security guard at the madrasa, alleged that Anjumanwara and he had taken jobs together. But even though she regularly attends the madrasa, the nanny is absent, only to sign the attendance book at the end of the month and withdraw her salary. Other employees also have to do the work of IA. He also commented that she is shamelessly working as a nanny despite being a teacher's wife out of greed for money.
Office assistant Saiful Islam complained that the wrongful act of Nanny and her husband cannot be protested. If you say something, show cause and threat of dismissal from the super, abuse and intimidation by bringing in external cadres. Even earlier, Ramzan Ali had framed him in false cases several times, harassed the police and forced him to sign the white stamp.
Teacher Ramzan Ali and his wife Aya Anjumanwara were asked to comment on this, but they refused to comment. Superintendent Ayub Ali, when called over the phone for his statement, said he was in an urgent meeting.
Upazila secondary education officer Mozammel Haque said that evidence of negligence in the responsibility of the nanny was found during the previous inspection of the madrasa. The matter was warned orally but as no action was taken, the super was warned through a letter on August 11.
Upazila executive officer Sharmin Akhter said that action will be taken after investigating the written complaint.
