375 Ansar members in CMM court

375 people arrested including two women Ansars have been produced in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court (CMM Court) of Dhaka on charges of illegal assembly and obstruction of state work in front of the Secretariat. A case has been filed against them in Shahbagh, Ramna, Airport and Paltan police stations of the capital.

They will be picked up at the CMM court in Dhaka on Monday afternoon.

Earlier on Sunday night, several police stations of the capital registered a case of vandalism and violence in the secretariat area. A case has been filed against 208 Ezhar names and unknown 2-3 thousand people in Shahbag police station. A case has been filed against 3-4 thousand accused in Paltan police station mentioning the names of 114 people. Apart from this, the police has registered a case against 2-3 thousand unknown people by naming 98 people in Ramna police station. Those arrested in these cases are supposed to be produced in court.

Ansar members protested in front of the secretariat from Sunday noon to demand nationalization of jobs. At one stage of the movement, Ansar members entered the secretariat, the heart of the administration, ignoring the obstacles. At this time, they started taking various slogans to get their demands. However, the protesting Ansar members stayed there without lifting the blockade from the secretariat. The secretariat was blocked. Interim government advisor Nahid Islam, anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah were trapped. Ansar members clashed with the students at night when they tried to free the besieged coordinators. Later, additional policemen, BGB and army were deployed. Ansar members were arrested.

In this incident, 70 people were injured and received treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital. Among them, the number of students is more.
